Fly-Fishing School

Head Instructor and Guide Willy Dietrich
Head Instructor and Guide Willy Dietrich

3 Day School

We are pleased to offer an exciting new program for this 2007 Summer Season. We have teamed up with professional guide Willy Dietrich of Catamount Fishing Adventures to offer this outstanding program. The comprehensive fly-fishing school is the ideal scenario for the beginner to intermediate angler who wishes to build a strong foundation for a lifetime of fly-fishing pleasure. The Town & Country Resort will host the three-day private school and your teacher is a certified casting instructor through the Federation of Fly Fishers.

The three-day school will be geared to each individual's learning curve as we cover the basic skills needed to pursue wily river trout. The first day begins at the Town & Country where each angler will become familiar with the equipment, casting techniques and knot tying.

Day two begins with a hearty Vermont Country Breakfast at the Town & Country. After breakfast your guide will meet you for a day of fun and learning on the river. You will gain knowledge in reading the water in a trout stream, fly presentation, entomology (study bugs!), and the overall ability to handle a fly rod. Of course this will be broken up with a relaxing lunch and a session in fly tying.

Please call for 2007 rates.

Following breakfast at the Town & Country on day three it will be back to the river to bring everything that has been learned full circle in an attempt to tug on some of Vermont's resident trout population. The school will conclude by noon and you will depart with an unparalleled fly-fishing knowledge.

Cost of School: Includes 2 nights lodging in a room with a king size or two double beds, double occupancy, full breakfast daily and one lunch, plus above fly-fishing school schedule.
